Formative Assessmentdemonstrates the power and importance of assessment literacy as a driver of student learning and increased performance.  Through pre-post formative assessments teachers have accurate, in-time data to adjust instruction to ensure student mastery of priority standards.  Participants learn how to design and use a variety of quick pre-post assessments as well as how to give feedback that motivates students to do their best.

Authentic Performance Tasks provides the information and tools district and school leaders need to be ready for the Common Core State Standard assessments. Performance task will help provide a more accurate picture of what students know and are able to do.  This workshop builds on the Formative Assessment workshop and goes to the next level of designing performance tasks and the rubrics needed to assess proficiency.
